Yarraville Club Inc – By Laws

A.  FOOD & LIQUOR

  1. That no food be allowed to be brought into the Club unless by special permission of the Manager.
  2. Prices for the sale of liquor within the Club shall at all times be determined by Management.
  3. Members are not permitted to sit on stools at the Bar at any time. 

B.   ILLEGAL GAMBLING

  1. That any Member participating in illegal gambling in the Club will automatically be suspended.
  2. No raffle shall be conducted on Club premises at any time without prior approval of the Management  .

C.   MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS 

  1. That Members who loaned their Membership Card to non Members to gain admittance to the Club, would face the Disciplinary Committee.
  2. That admission to the Club would be by Membership Card or by signing in as a visitor and that the Membership Card or sign in docket must be produced if requested.
  3. That Membership Subscriptions may be paid by cash, credit card, electronic funds transfer or cheque.
  4. That Members of affiliated clubs who shift to Melbourne and wish to join the Yarraville club be allowed to do so after the Manager has checked with the parent club.
  5. No Member shall be extended credit by the Club without prior approval of the Management.
  6. If a Member, when cited, does not appear at a Board Meeting after three months, Membership is terminated.
  7. No Member shall give the address of the Club in any advertisement or use the Club address for business purposes, unless prior approval by Management. 
  8. Any abuse of staff by a Member will not be tolerated and will be considered a disciplinary matter.

D.   UNDER AGE VISITORS

            That under age visitors are permitted on Club premises providing certain conditions are fulfilled.  The conditions 
            are:

The visitor must be accompanied at all times by a parent, legal guardian over 18 years of age or a Member.

The visitor shall not purchase or receive any liquor except where the liquor is purchased or received for consumption as part of a meal supplied on the Club premises.

            That under 18 year olds be restricted only, unless competing in competition sports.

            That children when in the Club must be supervised at all times by a parent, legal guardian or Member.
 
E.   SNOOKER /BILLIARDS/DARTS

                   That junior players be permitted to play competition Billiards/Snooker/Darts subject to the 
              following provisions:

                   Any player under the age of 18 years must be a Member of a Club competing in either the Victorian 
              Billiards Association competitions, or the Licensed Clubs’ Darts Association.

  Any player under the age of 18 years must be a Member of a Club competing in either the Victorian Billiards and Snooker Association or the Metropolitan Snooker and Billiards Association competitions, or the Licensed Clubs’ Darts Association.

Any player under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or Member at all times whilst on Yarraville Club premises.

Any player under the age of 18 years must not purchase or consume liquor whilst visiting Yarraville Club for the purpose of playing competitions Billiards, Snooker or Darts. 

F.   GENERAL 
 

  1. That there shall not be a separate account available to any Director or General Manager for purposes of entertainment unless specific details are presented to the full Board for passing or payment.
     
  2. No placard or advertisement written or printed shall be displayed in the Club Rooms without the sanction of the Manager.
     
  3. No animals shall be allowed on the premises of the Club, without prior Management approval.  Guide dogs excepted.
  4. Any Director with 10 years service as a Director will be automatically recommended by the Board for Life Membership.
     
  5. Members nominating for positions on the Board must complete and submit with their nominations to the General Manager, a duly completed Venue Operators Licence Application as required under the Gaming Act 1991.
     
  6. All persons entering and leaving the premises after 10am, other than those making deliveries, must
    use the front door.  Any exception will be at the discretion of the Management.     

YARAVILLE CLUB INC. DRESS RULES

Neat, casual dress at all times.
Hats & caps are to be taken off at all times.
